Type the line you remember. Quoth finds it.

Quoth gives you a short link that plays just that part of a podcast. Send the part that matters.

How it works

  1. Tell us what you were listening to. Type the show, or paste a link from your podcast app.
  2. Pick the episode.
  3. Type the line, or the topic, you remember. We read the episode and find it.
  4. Get a link like quoth.fm/k3x9. Whoever opens it hears just that part.

The link also previews well in Slack, iMessage and LinkedIn: the quote leads, with the show credited, so people see what you mean before they press play.

“And honestly the whole thing came down to pricing. We just kept it simple and never raised it. People notice that.”
An example. The marked line is what you typed; the rest of the sentence comes along so it makes sense.

What we care about

  • The show is the source. We’re the messenger. Every clip credits the show and links back to the full episode.
  • Short on purpose. A clip is a moment, not an episode. Quotes run up to about 90 seconds, and segments up to 5 minutes.
  • No downloads. A clip only exists as a Quoth link, so the show stays in control.
  • Honest misses. If a line isn’t in the episode, we say so instead of showing you something close.
  • No ads, no selling data. It’s a small tool that does one job.

The name

Quoth, as in “Quoth the Raven”: an old word for “said”. It’s spelled with a “th”, and the “th” gets the yellow patch.
